The final form of compensation is relocation assistance, which is provided if the taking requires the owner to move. This may include payments for moving expenses, a payments for the costs associated with finding a new residence, or both. The law also requires certain types of relocation assistance, like a written move policy for tenants and special assistance for the elderly and handicapped.
