What type of employees are eligible for FMLA leave?

In the state of New Hampshire, all employers with 50 or more employees are expected to abide by the rules set forth in the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). In order to be eligible for FMLA leave, an employee must meet certain criteria. The first criteria is that the employee must have worked for their employer for 1,250 hours over the last 12 months. This means that the employee must have worked for at least 25 hours per week or 50 hours per month to be eligible. They must also work for an employer that has at least 50 employees within a 75-mile radius of the worksite. Another requirement for FMLA leave is that the employee must have been employed by the same employer for at least 12 months prior to the date of the leave. Therefore, an employee must have worked for their employer for at least 12 months before being eligible for FMLA leave. Finally, the employee must work in a job that is covered by the FMLA. This means that they must work in a worksite that has at least 50 employees within a 75-mile radius. Therefore, in the state of New Hampshire, employees who have worked for their employer for at least 12 months, worked at least 25 hours per week or 50 hours per month for their employer, and work at a worksite with at least 50 employees within a 75-mile radius are eligible for FMLA leave.
