What are the foreclosure timelines in my state?

In California, the foreclosure timeline can vary depending on the circumstances of the loan. Generally, however, a lender must wait at least 90 days after the borrower is delinquent on their loan before initiating a foreclosure. The lender must give notice to the borrower of the delinquency and inform them that they can cure the loan by paying all overdue amounts.
