What is the E-3 visa?
The E-3 visa is a non-immigrant visa available exclusively for Australian citizens who wish to work in the United States on a temporary basis. This visa allows Australian citizens to come to the United States and work in a specialty occupation for a period of up to two years, with the possibility of renewing the visa for additional periods of two years. The purpose of this visa is to facilitate the transfer of professional skills and knowledge from Australia to the United States. In order to be eligible for the E-3 visa, applicants must meet certain criteria. First, applicants must be an Australian citizen or have a valid passport from Australia. Second, applicants must have a job offer from a U.S. employer and that job must be in a specialty occupation.
