This could include the option of at-will employment, which gives the employer the right to fire the employee at any time, or a fixed-term agreement, which outlines the length of the employment. The termination of the contract should also outline the action taken by the employee or employer in the event of a breach of contract. By outlining the rights and duties of the employee and the employer, labor contracts ensure that both parties understand and abide by their obligations.
