What happens if one of the heirs is a minor?

If one of the heirs in an estate is a minor in the state of Nevada, it is necessary for a guardian or conservator to be appointed to act on behalf of the minor. A guardian or conservator will be appointed when the minor is an owner or beneficiary in an estate. The court will decide who the guardian or conservator will be depending on the best interests of the minor. A guardian or conservator will be responsible for making decisions regarding the minor’s assets, property, and finances. They will also be responsible for making sure that the minor’s rights and best interests are protected. The guardian or conservator will be expected to file reports with the court as well as maintaining records of all financial transactions regarding the minor’s estate. It is important to note that the court is ultimately responsible for protecting the minor’s interests when it comes to intestate succession. Therefore, they have the right to terminate the guardianship or conservatorship if they find that the appointed individual is not acting in the best interest of the minor. The court also has the right to modify or amend any decisions the guardian or conservator makes if they believe it is in the best interest of the minor.
