Are employers obligated to pay employees for jury duty?

In Maryland, employers are obligated to pay employees for jury duty. This is mandated by the Maryland State Code, which is enforced by the Maryland Department of Labor. According to the code, employers must pay an employee their full salary for the duration of their jury service.
