What is the tenant’s right to access the rental property after the lease has expired?
In California, a tenant’s rights to access a rental property after the lease expires depend on the type of tenancy. If the tenant has a periodic tenancy, then the tenant can remain in the rental until either the tenant or the landlord gives the other notice of their intention to terminate the agreement.
