In the state of Florida, environmental protection regulations in a municipality are established both by the local government and higher governmental bodies. These ordinances, when approved by the municipality, become laws and are binding on all citizens within the local government’s jurisdiction. These are just a few of the regulations that are designed to protect the environment within Florida municipalities. It is essential for local governments to understand these regulations and how they apply to their particular municipality in order to properly protect the environment.
