What is the Indian Employment, Training and Related Services Act?

The Indian Employment, Training and Related Services Act (IETRSA) is a piece of legislation that was enacted by the South Carolina General Assembly in 1999. This Act is designed to bring together the resources of the State and the Federally Recognized Tribes in order to support and promote economic development, job creation, and skill development among Native Americans in South Carolina. The Indian Employment, Training and Related Services Act provides financial assistance and resources to the State’s federally recognized Indian Tribes in order to help them create jobs, build skills, and increase business opportunities in their communities.
