What is a deed of cross-conveyance?
A deed of cross-conveyance is a legal document used in Washington state to transfer ownership of two properties from one party to another. In a typical cross-conveyance, the person selling the first property grants ownership to the person buying the second property. At the same time, the person buying the second property grants ownership to the person selling the first property. A deed of cross-conveyance must generally include the names of the two parties and the addresses of the properties involved. It must also include the terms of the transaction, such as the purchase price, any conditions, and the date of transfer.
