It is important to note that while a real estate lawyer’s services often come into play during the course of a real estate transaction, a real estate lawyer is not involved in the brokerage side of the transaction and does not represent buyers or sellers directly. Rather, they provide broad legal advice and representation to all parties involved. A real estate lawyer in South Carolina must be licensed by the South Carolina Bar.
