What is the Veterans Medical Care program and how do veterans qualify?

The Veterans Medical Care program is a program that provides medical care to veterans who have served in the military. This program is operated by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). To qualify for the Veterans Medical Care program, veterans must have served in the military and be eligible for one of the following types of service: active duty, discharged with an honorable or general discharge, a reservist, or a military retiree.
