Yes, there are restrictions and prohibitions on the use of images or text that depict violence in advertising in North Carolina. According to state law, it is unlawful for any person or entity to advertise any product or service which contains an image or text that depicts violence. This includes images or text that shows, depicts, or implies physical harm, death, injury, or suffering of any person or animal, as well as the use of a weapon in a threatening manner. In addition, the advertising must not promote, condone, glorify, or glamorize the use of violence. Violent advertising is also not allowed in North Carolina.
