What are the rules and regulations regarding flight attendants?

In Colorado, flight attendants are subject to the rules and regulations of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The FAA requires that flight attendants be at least 18 years of age, fluent in both English and the language of the country they are flying to, and hold a valid FAA Flight Attendant Certificate. Flight attendants must be able to recognize and respond to all safety and emergency situations as per FAA regulations. Additionally, they must be proficient in using the airplane’s first aid and firefighting equipment. Flight attendants are responsible for assisting passengers before and during a flight. This includes checking safety equipment prior to take-off, serving meals and drinks, providing information about the flight, and ensuring the aircraft cabin is kept clean. During the flight, they must also be able to answer any passenger questions, provide assistance in the event of an emergency situation, and provide medical attention if necessary. Flight attendants must also be knowledgeable in federal regulations and laws related to aviation. They must follow FAA regulations regarding the safety of passengers and flight crew and must adhere to any additional regulations or procedures established by the airline. Flight attendants must also be versed in emergency procedures, including evacuation, decompression, and familiarity with applicable federal regulations. Additionally, they must remain compliant with FAA drug and alcohol policies.
