In summary, the short-term effects of a TBI can range from physical to cognitive to emotional, and can include headaches, seizures, dizziness, vision loss, difficulty sleeping, coma, difficulty with concentration, organizing thoughts and tasks, communicating, understanding concepts, memory loss, slower reaction time, depression, anxiety, anger, apathy, irritability, aggression, restlessness, and impulsivity. With proper treatment and care, many of these effects can be managed or reversed over time.
