What is the process for obtaining a green card?
In order to obtain a green card in Florida, an individual must go through a multi-step process. The first step for residents of Florida is to file an immigrant petition with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). This petition must include documents and information that proves the individual is eligible for a green card and can provide evidence of a valid work or family-based relationship in the United States. Once the petition is approved, the individual is placed in a specific category.
