What is the difference between a domestic and international investment fund?

Investment funds are pools of money from investors that are used to buy stocks, bonds, and other assets. Domestic and international investment funds are two types of investment funds. Domestic investment funds are those that are based in the same country, state, or city as the investor. In North Carolina, for example, a domestic investment fund would be composed of investors based in the state. Domestic investment funds often concentrate on investments located within the same country, as it is easier to access and monitor information about the investments. International investment funds, on the other hand, are composed of investors from different countries. These investments may seek out opportunities across multiple countries and may invest in any company that offers a good rate of return. International funds may provide greater potential returns than domestic funds, but they come with a greater level of risk due to the fact that they are not concentrated in a single location and may have difficulty accessing and understanding information about their investments. Additionally, international investments often come with more fees and taxes.
