What is the Taft-Hartley Act?

The Taft-Hartley Act is a piece of labor relations law in the United States that was passed in 1947. It was sponsored by Senator Robert A. Taft and Representative Fred A. Hartley, Jr. of California. The Act amended the National Labor Relations Act of 1935 and is also known as the Labor-Management Relations Act.
