No, you cannot grow your own marijuana with a medical marijuana card in Virginia. Possession of marijuana for medical use is currently legal in Virginia, but under strict conditions. Once a patient has obtained a certification, he or she can then obtain a medical marijuana card from the Virginia Department of Health Professions. Under the existing Virginia laws, only licensed medical marijuana dispensaries have the right to cultivate and dispense medical marijuana products.
