How is municipal law enforced?
Municipal law is enforced by the state’s local governments. Cities, towns, counties, and state governments all have their own laws and ordinances that must be followed. These systems can include zoning laws, building codes, and health and safety regulations. If a person or business fails to properly comply with these laws, they may be subject to fines or other penalties. In short, municipal law in Oklahoma is enforced through a combination of law enforcement, judicial, and administrative systems.
