Determining your disability rating is an important part of understanding your veterans benefits in California. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) offers disability ratings ranging from 10 to 100 percent, with each rating representing a degree of severity of your disability and the amount of compensation you qualify for. The VA assigns your disability rating based on the evidence you submit, including your medical records and a “Statement of Disability” form.
