What are my options for education or training after leaving the military?

Serving in the military is an honorable way to serve your country, and there are many benefits available to those who serve, including educational and training opportunities. In the state of Virginia, veterans have access to numerous educational and training benefits. The Post-9/11 GI Bill is available to veterans who have served since September 11, 2001. This program provides tuition and fees, a housing allowance, and a book stipend. In addition, veterans may use the Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) program to receive assistance with training and job placement. This program provides education, training, and resources to help veterans find employment and reintegrate into the workforce.
