What happens if my claim is approved?

If your claim is approved, you will receive a monthly benefit payment from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This payment is based on the disability rating you were given. The VA will also provide you with medical care related to your disability. This includes hospital care, examinations, lab tests, physical therapy, prescription drugs, and more. In addition to the monthly payments, the VA will also provide you with certain non-monetary benefits. These include vocational rehabilitation, mental health services, and burial and funeral expenses if you pass away. Finally, the VA will provide you with an identification card to show that you are a veteran with a disability. This card will allow you to access discounts on medical care, travel, and other services at certain locations. All in all, if your claim is approved you will receive monthly payments, access to medical care related to your disability, and special benefits and discounts. The VA will also provide you with an identification card so that you can easily access these benefits and services.
