What is the difference between constructive dismissal and wrongful dismissal?

Constructive dismissal and wrongful dismissal are both legal terms used to describe employee terminations in Virginia. The main difference between the two is that wrongful dismissal simply means that an employee was terminated unlawfully, while constructive dismissal refers to an employee who was forced to quit due to their employer’s intolerable working conditions.
