What is the Environmental Justice Movement?

The Environmental Justice Movement is a grassroots effort to protect people and the environment from the damaging effects of pollution. The movement seeks to spur policy and legislative change to protect communities from the harmful effects of pollution, climate change, and other environmental problems.
