What is the E-3 visa?
The E-3 visa is a type of visa issued by the United States government to allow people from Australia to work in certain positions in the United States. This visa was developed as a result of the Australia–United States Free Trade Agreement. The E-3 visa is different from other nonimmigrant visas because it is specifically for Australian citizens, so only Australians can take advantage of it. In order to be eligible for this visa, applicants must have a job offer from a U.S. employer and meet certain criteria related to the position. This visa allows the worker to stay in the United States for up to two years with an extension of up to two additional years. The E-3 visa does not provide for permanent residency in the United States. In Washington, workers with an E-3 visa are allowed to work in a variety of positions, including professional and specialty occupations. These positions must be related to science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, and the worker must be employed in a specialty occupation. The E-3 visa also has some restrictions. For example, it prohibits the holder from working for any employer other than the one that sponsored their visa. Additionally, the holder must leave the United States after the expiration of their visa. The E-3 visa is a great opportunity for Australian citizens to work in the United States in a variety of positions. It allows workers to stay in the United States for a reasonable amount of time and provides them with job opportunities that they would not have access to without this visa.
