What are the restrictions on working hours for minors?

In Louisiana, minors who are under the age of 16 are subject to restrictions on their working hours. Minors who are 16 or 17 years of age are not subject to the same regulations but are encouraged to follow them. Minors who are under the age of 16 may not work more than 4 hours per day and not more than 24 hours per week when school is in session.
