Can an employer require an employee to work overtime?

In Idaho, an employer can require employees to work overtime. This is permissible under state and federal labor laws. However, an employer must pay overtime wages for any hours worked over eight hours per day or forty hours per week. Overtime must be paid at one and a half times the employee’s regular rate of pay.
