What is an indefinite stay visa?
An indefinite stay visa is a visa granted to individuals who wish to reside in a country for an undefined period of time. In Washington, an indefinite stay visa allows migrants to live and work in the state without having to renew their status. Indefinite stay visas are usually granted to people with significant professional or business backgrounds, and they offer a range of benefits. These visas allow migrants to work and live in Washington without requiring them to apply for an employment visa or acquire additional work permits. Additionally, the holders of indefinite stay visas can apply to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for permanent residence in the United States. However, indefinite stay visas are not automatically granted upon arrival in Washington and must be applied for, and approved, before given. In order to be eligible for an indefinite stay visa, migrants must demonstrate proof of a long-term residence or intent to stay in the state. Evidence such as job offers, educational degrees, or other professional credentials may be required for applicants to successfully obtain an indefinite stay visa. Additionally, applicants may be required to show proof of financial stability and prove to the government that they will not become a burden to the state.
