What is the difference between wrongful termination and wrongful act termination?

Wrongful termination is when an employee is fired without legal cause. This can happen when a person is fired unjustly for a bad reason. Wrongful act termination is when the employer terminates the employee’s employment based upon their knowledge of that employee’s misconduct or other illegal acts.
