What is the International Convention on the Suppression and Punishment of the Crime of Apartheid (CSPA)?

The International Convention on the Suppression and Punishment of the Crime of Apartheid (CSPA) is a United Nations (UN) document adopted by the General Assembly in 1973 that defines and criminalizes the crime of apartheid. Under the Convention, the crime of apartheid is defined as “inhuman acts committed for the purpose of establishing and maintaining domination by one racial group over another and systematically oppressing them”.
