What is the International Convention on Nuclear Safety (INSC)?

The department ensures that all nuclear facilities in Washington are in compliance with the INSC requirements, and it also provides safety training for personnel working at such facilities. The Department also carries out assessment reviews to ensure that all safety standards are being met.
