What happens if I am approved for Social Security Disability but find a job?

If you are approved for Social Security Disability (SSD) in Virginia and find a job, it may affect your SSD benefits. This is known as “work incentives.” If you are able to work while on SSD, you will be allowed to keep your benefits for a trial work period.
