What is the employee right to minimum wage?

In Virginia, all employees have the right to receive at least the minimum wage for their work. This is a legal requirement set by the federal government, and it applies to all states in the U.S. In Virginia, the current minimum wage is $7.25 an hour, although some localities may have higher rates. The minimum wage law also requires that employees receive wage increases when their work increases. This includes overtime pay, which must be at least one and a half times the normal rate of pay if an employee works for more than 40 hours in a week. Employers must also comply with state and federal laws concerning the payment of wages. For example, in Virginia, wages must be paid at least twice a month. Additionally, employers must provide employees with a written statement of their wages at least once a month. Finally, employees have the right to seek recourse if their employer does not comply with the laws concerning minimum wage and overtime pay. If an employer is found to be in violation of wage and hour laws, then they may be subject to a fine or other penalty. Employees may also be able to recover any unpaid wages they are owed.
