What is the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendment Act?

The Americans with Disabilities Act Amendment Act (ADAAA) is a federal law passed in 2008 that seeks to protect the rights of individuals with disabilities in California, and throughout the US. This includes making accommodations such as providing accessible furniture or making changes to job duties so that a disabled individual can perform them. The goal of the ADAAA is to ensure that individuals with disabilities are treated equally in the workplace and are able to receive the accommodations that they need to make their job as accessible as possible.
